21 Day Fast Part 4

"The Lord is my strength and my shield: in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped. My heart exults and with my song I give thanks to Him." Psalms28:7


Welcome Part 2! Theme is Emotional Setback! Keep trusting in God to help you overcome when you find that your emotionally struggling with food. Here are 3 simple recipes to try to encourage you on your journey!

 

1) Berry Kale Smoothie

Ingredients:

1/4 cup honeydew

1 cup of kale

a slice of lemon

1 banana

1/2 cup of frozen mixed berries

2 cups of water + 1/2 cup of ice

 

2) Baked Sprouts


Ingredients:

3-4 cups of quartered or halved brussel sprouts

1 tbs of olive oil

1 tbs of honey

1/2 tbs of onion powder, garlic powder

1/4 tsp of salt

Mix everything together until nicely coated

Bake at 350 for 20-25 min. (Adjust accordingly)

Suggestions: Use it to top with salad or a grain (if you allowed it in your fast)

I've paired it with buckwheat noodles, sauteed kale with lemon juice.

 

3) Island smoothie

Ingredients:

2 cups of cantaloupe

2 very ripe bananas

1 cup papaya

4 dates

2 cups of ice

3 cups of water

Blend until nice and smooth. Add more ice to be more smoothie and less watery
