Let's Meet and Greet
Words of Life
"If you treat an individual as he is, he will remain how he is. But if you treat him as if he were what he ought to be and could be, he will become what he ought to be and could be."
- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Hey there! I’m Pearl.
Thank you so much for visiting Let’s Veg About It.
Whatever your reason for stopping by, I hope that this website will bless you tremendously.
So what is Let’s Veg About It?
Well, my little corner of the internet focuses on total wholeness.
As you may know we all suffer from a little bit of dysfunction, some more than others,
unless you’re a unicorn, then I guess you’re excused.
For the rest of us who live in the real world, we are bombarded with
chemical, social, environmental, and emotional issues
that have taxed our brains and bodies into deficiency.
You may be thinking: But I thought this was just about personal training?
Well, it is to some degree, but let’s be honest; physical health is just one part of what makes us whole.
My beliefs stem from the biblical philosophy of
love, joy, peace,
long suffering, gentleness, goodness,
faith, meekness, and temperance (1).
These virtues and characteristics, at least to me, are as valuable as diet and exercise.
They encourage me to live a supportive, compassionate, and positive life.
I also believe that there are four parts to wholeness:

physical health, mental stability, emotional balance, and spiritual maturity.

I don’t believe that these four parts of wholeness are independent or self-contained.
They are as interconnected as the veins and ligaments in our bodies.
My road to wholeness began in 2008.
I listened to a speaker give a powerful and convincing argument with scientific evidence
on the consequences of meat consumption (2).
I had just made a huge pot of chicken adobo, and being convicted, I threw it in the trash!
That day is forever etched in my mind as my conversion to the plant-based lifestyle.
Since then, it’s been a road to complete healing.

For over six years, I had lived in South Korea and had seen the plant-based movement expand. For those who lived there, I can empathize with their struggles living in the barbeque capital of the world. Traveling in various countries like Thailand and the Philippines has taught me how to adapt to the lifestyle I have chosen, while encouraging others on their journey.
If you're a fellow world-explorer and on the brink of giving up, DON’T.
There are plenty of people who are thriving
on a plant-based lifestyle and you can too.
One of the best ways to thrive is to get connected to the plant based community.
So whatever brought you here,
I hope this will be a place where you feel comfortable
in sharing your experiences, struggles, and thoughts.
Feel free to comment below with questions or suggestions of things that you’d like to see more of.
In all that you do, may you live, thrive, and be healthy.
Looking forward to hearing from you and if you’re in the area, let’s meet and greet!
