21 Day Fast Part 5

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" Psalms46:1


Stay strong warriors! This week is almost done! Here are another 3 simple food items you can try, or at least consider. What an amazing God we serve, that food is so versatile and we can create many wonderful dishes.

1) High 5 Smoothie


Ingredients:

2 cups of honeydew

1 banana

3 dates

2 cups fresh mango

1 green kiwi

3 cups of water

2 cups of ice

Suggestion: Top it off with seeds, if you allowed it in your fast

2) Tofu Cauliflower Bowl

Ingredients:

2 cups of chopped cauliflower (small chunks are best)

1/2 of firm tofu pack cubed

1/2 tsp Paprika, pink salt, turmeric and celery salt

1/4 tsp of chili powder

1/2 TBS of minced garlic

Directions:

Put the cubed tofu in the airfryer for 300 degrees for 15 min. (No oil)

In a pan add garlic and cauliflower, mix together and cover for 3 min.

Then add 2 TBS of water and all the seasoning. DON'T MIX.

Cover and let it cook for 5 min.

Next, mix everything up and add another TBS of water if needed

Cover for another 5 min.

Once done put tofu and cauliflower in a bowl and mix.

Suggestion: Add tomatoes, beans, cilantro, avocado and lemon juice to give it more of a Tex-Mex feel.

2) Or you can add the baked Brussel sprouts and black beans like I did in this picture. I just added a simple dressing:

lemon vinaigrette (1/2 tbs of olive oil, 1/2 lemon juiced, 1/4 tsp of salt mix)


Either way, this dish can be spruced up in so many different ways. Depending on your fast, this is very versatile and honestly one of my favorites. It's also very filling.

3) Mushroom Salad


Ingredients:

1/4 cup of black beans (Instapot cooked and drained)

1/4 cup of the baked Brussel sprouts (from Day 4) or you can just sauté them

1 cup of mushrooms (airfryed - no oil)

1/4 cup of sautéed cauliflower

1/2 lemon juiced

1/2 tbs of onion powder

1/4 tsp of salt

Suggestion: Add avocado and tomatoes, tastes amazing!
