Arebesque

What I liked about this place:

Have you ever wanted to go to a nice restaurant without breaking the bank? You've got to check this place out. The first thing that stuck out at me, was the ambiance. I loved the elegance and Arabian theme. It's very cozy and "date" worthy. They have booths available for private parties, but also for a more secluded dinner, for our romantics.

In terms of the food, it was wonderful. The tabboleh, was perfect! I give them BIG KUDOS for having salt and pepper shakers at the table, to allow their guests to season the dishes as they please. The tabboleh came out slightly bland, but once I seasoned it, was perfect to my taste buds. I loved that it wasn't oily or greasy, it was very refreshing and the thin lemon slices added the perfect zing to my palate.

The lentil soup was incredible! Probably the best soup I have tasted and that's quite the compliment since I'm a soup connoisseur. The flavor blew my taste buds away. The parsley was a great garnish. The lemon wedge added the perfect zest and you didn't need to add any seasoning to it. Although, I'm sure you could have. I found it to be creamy and smooth. It was liquid gold. I hope they don't change the ingredients to that dish.

The falafel sandwich...well, to be honest, could have been better. I loved the Cajun style French fries, however the wrap tasted like it needed improvement. They should have used hummus or added some salt, but sadly it didn't dawn on me to think they had used some sort of watered down mayo. Overall, this restaurant was great.

I went the second time with some friends, and it looks like the chefs changed their menus. They no longer offered the Cajun fries (ã… .ã… )  but the curries that we did order were fantastic. Great flavors and the amount was very satisfying.
